On Wednesday, April 16th, at 12:30pm PhilWahl will speak at the AMH on his unique upbringing at the Augusta NationalGolf Club. His father, Phillip Wahl, Sr. was the General Manager of the AugustaNational from 1963 to 1978. Phil Jr.’s life of being a clubhouse”runner” at Masters Tournaments and fishing balls out of the course’smany ponds ended on September 15, 1978 when his father died on Berckmans Roadjust as he was leaving the course. This very special “Augusta Story”is one of many that the Museum is proud to host, record and invite the publicto hear.

 

The Brown Bag History Lecture Series is provided monthly by theAugusta Museum of History and is an ideal lunchtime break for students,downtown professionals, and retirees. 

 

The lectures are free toMuseum members and $5 for non-members, no registrationrequired. Participants may bring a lunch to enjoy in the Museum Rotundaand the AMH will provide water, hot coffee and a dessert. Lunch can begin asearly as 11:30am; the lecture takes place in the History Theater at 12:30pmwith a short Q&A following.
