Greater Augusta Presbytery (GAP) Ministries

GAPGAP was founded in September 1979. This local outreach opportunity is headquartered in what was once the Greene Street Presbyterian Church in downtown Augusta. It is funded by the Northeast Georgia Presbyteriay of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Services offered include:

  • Financial counseling and assistance with rent or other emergency items
  • Prescription medicine assistance
  • Photo ID assistance
  • Food pantry
  • Summer day camps
  • Tutoring and mentoring
  • Bible study and worship
  • Meals
  • Summer Day Camp

Outreach opportunities for teens and adults include tutoring children after school, acting as a camp counselor during the week of summer camp or helping at the food pantry.

Every November the GAP Walkathon is organized and carried out to raise awareness of GAP ministry needs.
