Reid Memorial is dedicated to challenging our youth to grow in faith and community with one another, learning with humility from Christ’s commandment to love God and love your neighbor.

Sunday Afternoon Youth Group
Where love dwells, young people have a place to belong. Sunday afternoons are filled with games, laughter, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to grow in faith together. Through Bible study, discussion, and plenty of fun, youth build lasting friendships while discovering what it means to follow Christ in everyday life. Sunday afternoons, 4:30-6:00 pm.
Youth Retreats
REID YOUTH are invited to participate in a variety of retreats and group activities that give them opportunities for fellowship, fun, community, and mission. These events are intentionally designed to be a place for relationship growth with our own community and the world around us, and to be able to find God in and above the noise in the culture that surrounds us.
This year’s retreats include:
SELAH Youth Retreat, Fripp Island, SC, October 9-12
Youth Ski Trip, Winterplace, WV, February 12-15, 2027
Montreat Youth Conference, Montreat, NC, June 13-2019, 2027
Confirmation
Students in 6th grade through 8th grade (or older youth who have not yet been confirmed) are invited to participate in a year-long process of exploring their faith and beliefs, culminating in claiming and proclaiming their baptismal vows.
Mission Trips
Students of REID YOUTH are encouraged to participate in mission opportunities such as participation with local ministry partners such as GAP, Turn Back the Block. Larger mission trips may be like urban ministry with Cross Missions in Charlotte, NC or like the 2024 multi-generational mission trip to Jamaica in conjunction with ACE, American Caribbean Experience. Mission trips help students develop a sense of compassion and empathy, sparking a desire to serve others and deepen their relationship with God.
6th-8th graders are invited to save-the-date for our Summer 2027 mission trip with CROSS ministries in Charlotte, NC. July 11-16, 2027. Click here to learn more.
