Strang Family Missionary Info
The Rev. Dr. Fred Foy Strang is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA with a D.Min in Missions and a PhD in Africa Christianity. He served as Associate Pastor at Reid Memorial in the mid 1990’s. Cecily, a registered nurse, has a PhD in nursing with a focus on culturally congruent malaria care for the Maasai people. Since their departure from RMPC, the Strangs have served two congregations in Florida and the Presbyterian-related King University, where Fred Foy was chaplain and dean of the mission studies program and Cecily taught nursing.
The Strangs have served Christ in ministry with the Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania full time for 2 years and part time for decades. Fred Foy and Cecily have felt God’s call to once again move to Africa full time and complete the new Oldoinyo Kiti (small mountain) Theological Education by Extension and Rural Retreat and Training Center among the Maasai people.
